Ant McPartlin in rehab for addiction to prescription drugs and alcohol
Anthony "Ant" McPartlin, one half of the bubbly UK presenter duo, Ant and Dec, is in rehab for an addiction to prescription drugs.
McPartlin, 41, told The Sun he "wept" when he owned up to his issues to his wife, Lisa McPartlin, and long time colleague Declan Donnelly.
The Britain's Got Talent host says it was depression that led to his dependence on prescription drugs.

"I've spoken out because I think it's important that people ask for help if they're going through a rough time and get the proper treatment to help their recovery," McPartlin said.
Thank you for all the kind messages and well wishes for the big fella. He will be touched. Your support is, as ever, much appreciated.— antanddec (@antanddec) June 18, 2017
Donnelly has thanked fans for supporting McPartlin with messages and posts on social media.
"Thank you for all the kind messages and well wishes for the big fella," he wrote. "He will be touched. Your support is, as ever, much appreciated."
McPartlin will remain in rehab for at least two months.
Ant and Dec met and began their professional careers on early 90s youth TV show, Byker Grove.
The pair, both from Newcastle in the north of England, became pop duo PJ & Duncan in the mid 90s after leaving the show.
They have gone on to be familiar faces on UK TV, regularly fronting variety and reality TV shows such as SM:TV Live with Cat Deeley, I'm a Celeb, Britain's Got Talent and Saturday Night Takeaway.
The pair were awarded an OBE for services to broadcasting and charity in the 2016 Queens Honours list.
