Kiwi actress Rose McIver nominated for teen honorary award
Kiwi actress Rose McIver has been nominated for a Teen Choice Award.
The 28-year-old has been nominated in the Choice Comedy TV actress for her role as brain-eating crime-solver Liv Moore on US television show iZombie.
McIver started out her career featuring in New Zealand's homegrown television drama show Shortland Street, before taking on her role in television series Legend of the Seeker.
She also featured in Peter Jackson's The Lovely Bones as Lindsey Salmon and in Power Rangers R.P.M. television series as Summer Landsdown - the yellow power ranger.
McIver faces fellow nominees Candace Cameron Bure, (Fuller House), Emma Roberts, (Scream Queens), Gina Rodriguez, (Jane the Virgin), Yara Shahidi (black-ish) and Zendaya (K.C. Undercover) in the Choice Comedy TV actress section, due to be announced on Fox on Sunday, August 13, screening in NZ on August 14.
The Teen Choice Awards take place annually and honour the year's biggest achievements in music, film, sports, television, fashion, and more, voted by viewers aged 13 to 20.
The Auckland-born star now calls California home, but misses her Whittaker's Dark Chocolate and Vogels toast with Marmite.
