The star of a risque internet advertisement featuring full frontal nudity has been revealed as Outrageous Fortune star Tyler-Jane Mitchell.
Mitchell, who plays mysterious blonde beauty Sheree Greegan on TV3's hit show, landed the main role on the raunchy ad campaign for British skincare company Elave two years ago before a leading spot on Outrageous Fortune made her famous.
The ad, called Nothing To Hide, was created by the New Zealand branch of advertising agency Saatchi and Saatchi in 2007. It was filmed in New Zealand and was an online hit, making headlines at the BBC and other news services.
It shows Ms Mitchell completely nude walking around a faux scientific laboratory, interacting with other naked characters and extolling the virtues of the company’s dermatological products in a British accent.
The commercial's director, Brendan Donovan, said the 60-second ad was filmed in a purpose-built studio in Auckland several years ago. It was only available to view online.
In Outrageous Fortune, Mitchell plays a troublemaking sex siren who dated Wolf West before moving on to his son Van. The character is currently pregnant with twins.
A spokeswoman for South Pacific Pictures, the company behind Outrageous Fortune, said all actors were independent contractors and free to do whatever work they pleased in their free time.
Mitchell's agent, Kathryn Rawlings and Associates, confirmed Mitchell had appeared in the advertisement but declined to comment further.
Mitchell - who has also starred Orange Roughies, The Market, Hercules, Marlin Bay and children's show Amazing Extraordinary Friends - could not be reached for comment.
