EXCLUSIVE: North Carolina model Sydney Wheeler says the remaining competitors on Survivor: Tocantins should get rid of James "JT" Thomas before he takes over the show.
The 24-year-old was eliminated from the latest season of the top-rating reality show when Thomas chose to keep Tamara "Taj" Johnson-George over her. She was eliminated by just one vote.
Wheeler, a member of the Jalapao tribe, told Stuff.co.nz she didn't trust Thomas from the first time she met him.
"From day one there was something I didn't trust in his eyes," she said.
"We were in some kind of alliance and he told me that morning he was voting for Taj and then he pulled out and voted for me.
"If they don't get him off sooner rather than later he could end up winning it."
Wheeler said she was "sad" to be eliminated just before the two tribes - Timbira and Jalapao - merged.
"A merge brings new people, new stories and new laughs, and to be voted off right before is kind of like a stab in the heart. I had that chance to meet the new tribe and it was taken from me."
Wheeler, who was seen giving male members of her tribe massages and wearing their clothes, admitted flirting was part of her game plan.
"Flirting is part of my personality. It's one of those things I think they might have cast me for. I'm upbeat (and) giggly. I go with the flow. I'm easy to get along with. I'm friendly.
"They definitely played it up a little bit more. Me wearing JT's boxer shorts? It's 110 degrees outside - what do you expect from me? I'm going to walk around in my jeans?
"I definitely went into it knowing there would be males on that team and it doesn't hurt to flirt a little bit. Everybody does it but I didn't necessarily go into it thinking it was going to be my only strategy."
She was glad she didn't get the opportunity to use Joe Dowdle's fake immunity idol but admits she would have used it out of desperation.
"That's one of the most embarrassing things, right? Showing up with a fake immunity idol? I probably would have fallen for it - I would have done anything to save my butt at that point."
Survivor: Tocantins screens on TV3 at 7.30pm on Thursday nights. Stuff.co.nz will interview every competitor as they are eliminated.

This finished months ago just google and you will get the winner TVNZ is completely incompetent
Good choice to vote Syd off, shame though because she did provide some eye candy :)
I agree with her though about JT, I think he is far too strong in the challenges and is too well liked not to be the biggest threat of both tribes....he must go!
Go Taj!
Hi, I'm a member of the Jalapeno tribe. I am stuck on a small, insignificant, little known island called New Zealand. I think I would be a good candidate for two tv programs - 'Survivor' or 'Lost'. Neither of which I have watched very much. However I can't seem to figure out how to get on either show (call my agent - yes I really do have one). I am well fed, well-showered and house-trained.
Notice the title of the show isn't in the title of the artical, it's to trick people into reading it I agree with the rest of the world Survivor is s**t who watches this?
Strange? He's just obviously got nothing better to do with his life. Sad. Anyway, go JT!
shame she has gone, she certainly was the most attractive of the contestants, I would have liked to be on a tribe with her!
I'm with Matt, it's crap and I don't watch it.
Reality TV is overdone, tired and run it's course.
Why I read the article is that it is in the entertainment section online and the headline caught my attention - probably cause I didn't have a clue who they were talking about.
So you don't have to be a fan, to have your attention attracted.
So good marketing - Stuff.co
Who doesn't watch Survivor, then writes a comment on a Survivor-based blog about how bad Survivor is? Strange.
Matt - who reads an article about the "worst programme in the world"? Odd how people who don't like certain shows like to read about them and make comments.
I happen to love the show which is why I read this article. I don't think Sydney did anything to deserve being voted out but I don't think she was a bad choice either.

I have this amazing thing in my house called a "remote control" if I do not like something on TV I do not have to watch it. I can change the channel. I do not have to winge about how much I hate it to make myself feel better.
If you don't like it, who cares. Change the channel and get over yourself. Life would be very boring if we all liked the same things wouldn't it?
