American broadcasting giant NBC has signed supermodel Rachel Hunter and glamour model Carmen Electra to star in the mystifying live search for the next great mentalist on its new alternative series Phenomenon.

The celebrity guests will be featured in each of the series' five consecutive episodes and will interact with the competing mentalists and experience the illusions first-hand, along with the studio audience.

They will provide an untainted reaction to the mentalists' performances, a stark contrast to the expert opinions offered by the show's resident experts, Criss Angel (Criss Angel Mindfreak) and famed mentalist Uri Geller.

Ultimately, the fate of the competing mentalists is in the hands of the viewers at home, who will vote to determine who gets the $330,000 prize.
