Police were called to the set of soapie Neighbours and the cast forced to go home when a regular female extra became distressed and started smashing up glasses.
The incident happened in a Melbourne studio on Friday, and filming was stopped for the day with cast and crew told to go home, a Neighbours spokeswoman confirmed on Wednesday.
The female extra, who has been used on the show for the past 12 years, became distressed on the set of Charlie's Bar.
The Neighbours spokeswoman said it was a one-off incident.
"All that was smashed up was a couple of glasses that were on the bar in Charlie's and they shattered when they fell on the floor, so damage was minimal," the spokeswoman told AAP.
Police were called to the studio and the woman was taken by ambulance to hospital to have treatment for cuts which she suffered during the incident.
The spokeswoman said Neighbours staff had been in touch with her family to check on her, and it's understood she was treated successfully.
A Ten spokeswoman said all had since gone back to normal on set.
"It was handled appropriately and production finished early but resumed as normal Monday," the spokeswoman told AAP.
