Police are looking for a man who allegedly told his victims he had gun and robbed them of their mobile phones on Saturday.
Hawke's Bay Police are looking for a Maori man in his late 20s who allegedly robbed the pair in Onekawa.
Detective Glenn Restieaux said the man claimed to have a gun and kept his hand his pocket giving the impression he did.
The two victims handed over their phones and a Manly Sea Eagles cap.
The robber was last seen walking towards Wycliffe St.
Mr Restieaux described the man as having a stocky build with shoulder-length curly black hair and a scar on his chin.
He was wearing long brown pants, a hoodie and a red polka dot scarf around his neck.
