New Zealand Fashion Week kicked off in style last night, launching a week-long fiesta for fashionistas everywhere.
Now in its fourteenth year, NZFW is a chance for some of our best homegrown designers to showcase their work to a global audience. We're live from the catwalk all week, following the action below.
Here's what happened today:
* This morning, Dunedin's Nom*D kicked things off with drummer boys, poker-straight hair, awesome hats and black. Lots and lots of black.
* Lela Jacobs models put on a spooky show with deconstructed braids, dark facepaint and creepy music.
* Dame Trelise Cooper's show - one of the highly-anticipated events on the runway at Auckland's Viaduct Events Centre - was packed out. Themes included flowers, leather, tassels, sequins, oh, and models wearing native American headdresses.
* Later, Stolen Girlfriends Club held their show, The Guilty Ones, off-site at Western Springs Stadium.
