Wearing a turquoise crochet dress designed by Adrian Hailwood, Watson strode to the end of the catwalk where she shook her breasts at photographers.
The garment Watson wore was a retrospective piece from the Auckland-based designer's winter 2006 collection, first showcased at fashion week in 2005.
The Verging on Brilliance show presented past, present and future collections from eight emerging fashion designers.
Fashion week organiser Pieter Stewart said the show recognised 20-year-old New Zealand fashion label Verge's support and mentoring of emerging designer talent for the past six years.
Other celebrities who stepped on to the catwalk yesterday included Shortland Street celebrity Ben Mitchell, who modelled Dunedin menswear label Elusiv.
Wairarapa designers Vicki Reid and Nicola Karam, of Oyl, also featured, though their staunch pintucked dresses, subtle prints and long skirts layered over leggings and chunky boots did not win over the fashion press, who felt they had spent too much time on the farm.
Wellington designer and Massey University graduate Alexandra Owen, 25, had a triumphant fashion week debut with an independent show.
It featured an original range of garments that were draped and tucked in all the right places, and crafted from liquid silver silk and wool cashmere.
"I've been experimenting with drape and wanted to push some techniques further," Owen said.
