Nice Kiwi blokes - shame about the women

New Zealand men are among the most attractive in the world, but Kiwi women are among the world's ugliest.
That's according to a controversial website that allows only beautiful people to join.
Fewer than one in five New Zealand women (17 percent) have been accepted as members on beautifulpeople.com, but one in three (33 percent) Kiwi men successfully joined.
Members on the site rate how attractive a new applicant is over 48 hours.
They then decide whether he or she is good-looking enough to join.
More than 4900 New Zealanders have applied to join the site, with 1274 accepted.
Scandinavians have proved to be the world's most attractive.
Swedish men are regarded as the world's most attractive with 65 percent being accepted.
Norwegian women are the world's most attractive, with 76 percent allowed to join.
Overall, Kiwi males rank as the sixth-most-attractive worldwide.
Kiwi women aren't even in the top 10.
As usual, New Zealand men rate above our neighbours across the Tasman – only 20 percent of Australian males have been accepted on the site.
However, more Australian women (21 percent) than Kiwis have been accepted.
Mel Brown, director of local model agency Portfolio, said there was no shortage of good-looking folk in Christchurch.
"Here in Christchurch we really have some fantastic-looking guys and girls," Brown said.
However, Brown said it was often remarked abroad that the attractive Kiwis went overseas.
On the streets of Christchurch yesterday, Danish student Selma Boesen, 18, said European people were the world's most attractive.
"I think people in Europe are prettier. Fashion isn't a big deal here."
Friend Lis Andreasen, 18, said she didn't think Kiwi women were among the world's ugliest. "But I like the guys in Europe better," she said.
New Zealander Katie Kerr, 21, said claims Kiwis were among the world's ugliest women was a "ridiculous generalisation", while her friend, Jesse Goodwin, 21, said Kiwis were "pretty good looking".
Nat Shaw, 21, said there were plenty of attractive Kiwi women to choose from.
The beautifulpeople.com site went live worldwide last month. It has rejected nearly 1.8 million people from 90 countries.

bahhaah all the kiwi women up in arms WE ARE BEAUTIFUL OMG WHATEVER, and all the kiwi men just nodding cause they know it's the truth!
My friends from Hawaii came to NZ and said the polynesian/maori women were hot. I dont think this was fair but I have noticed that european women have a bit more class. NZ women however tend to be pretty humourous and love to laugh thats what I find beautiful about them. Their inner beauty. But if you want physical hotness... then Scandinavia, Latin America, Brazil, Australia (Not all though lol) and The Pacific as well as Japan and Thailand.
NZ Women tend to be no fuss and focus more on healthy relationships before outward appearances as a priority.
Kiwi women are very attractive and don't forget that beauty comes from within and that makes us Kiwi women beautiful.

this article is crap, im a kiwi born and bred who has travelled the world and im now living in australia. I find females here as with most countries ive been to dress.in skimper clothes and are generally more fake I.e fake tanning, extensions, boob jobs, fake nails (list goes on forever!). us kiwi women are by no means uglier we are just real women who refuse to be barbie dolls! I hav met guys who tell me I cant be kiwi because im too "beautiful to be from there". To this I say wake up people NZ has the best women in the world we are passionate, kind, loving women who wont let anyone walk all over us and we are real!

Kiwi women are amonst the most beautiful .
Unlike most European women, who over dress, put on too much make up, and reveal too much, Kiwi woman are the opposite, they are unique, they are naturally beautiful , don't reveal excessively and don't wear makeup.
I think men like some women who over dress, and there are men who like the simple women. Plenty to go around.
I am European my self, and I admire beautiful Kiwi woman who are comfortable enough to go out without make up. Europeans just have a different culture which is also nice .

They may say kiwi guys are good looking but the fact that they join websites like this cancels out any attractive quality they possess. You say kiwi girls are ugly? well i say kiwi guys are wimps! Apologies to any boys out there NOT currently wearing xxs skinny jeans or admiring themselves in the mirror
how about everyone just grow up and stop judging kiwi women as a whole instead of individuals like we actually are, this is really pathetic..
