THE GOOD: It's a tad costumey for my liking, but Sandra Bullock manages to pull off this multi-coloured dress like a pro. It's so refreshing to see a woman identify what suits her and actually stick to it - feel free to pass on your expertise to the Miley's and Lilo's of this world Sandy, they desperately need a helping hand!
THE GREAT: Who knew a sleek, white, waist-accentuating dress could look so damn good. Whatever you've been doing, J-Hud, keep on keeping on. That is all.
THE BEST: Fashion's latest 'it' girl,Allison Williams looks absolutely flawless in this showstopping royal blue David Koma dress. We're loving the futuristic detailing and simple, low pony. Dang this girl has class.
THE CLASSY: Some say black is boring, but in this simple, elegant dress Queen Latifah proves that classic is key. I'm not 100% convinced about pairing a holographic clutch with those ornate, jade earrings but besides that the Queen is most definitely in the house.
THE TACKY: Memo to Melissa Joan Hart: You may have become famous for your admittedly fabulous role of Sabrina the Teenage Witch while in your 20s, but that does not give you the excuse to dress that age forever. There really is no excuse for a metallic, floral mullet-dress. Ever.
THE GOOD: Though I am normally a firm believer that the more sparkles a dress has, the more likely it is to look like a tacky disco ball rather than a piece of couture, Nina Dobrev dazzled (in a good way) in this Jenny Packham number. The silver, ankle-strap sandals only add to the shine factor, but her messy up 'do and simple smoky eye gives the look a much-needed touch of rock and roll. Beautiful.
THE BAD: I'm all for jumpsuits, in fact I own a black strapless version that I am mildly obsessed with, but if I ever needed to provide an example of how not to wear a full-length one piece, this is the look I would refer to. Sorry Sadie Calvano, I'm not sure who you are, but white, cut-out and drop-crotch all in one? Ugh, it makes me shudder.
THE BORING: We can always rely on Heidi Klum to turn up in a cleavage-baring ensemble, but it seems she hasn't quite mastered the art of looking sexy, without the side of trash. Yes, her make-up is stunning and that high chignon is undoubtedly classy, but we're not loving that sculptural, origami-esque bow/sash dominating one side of her Armani galaxy-inspired dress. Say it with us Heidi, 'less is more'.
THE MEH: While Jessica Alba looks undeniably beautiful in this Jason Wu dress, there's something about it that isn't quite right. Perhaps it's the somewhat awkward midi length, or maybe it's the lack of fabric in the chest area making her boobs look like they're squished into a tiny strapless bra, either way she could do better. Full points for hair and make-up Jess, but next time ditch the body-con.
THE GOOD: It's a rare occasion when a star manages to wear a floral gown on the red carpet and look downright stylish, but Thor star Kat Dennings has hit the nail on the head in this David Meister creation. From the ruched bodice, to the billowing skirt, the perfectly matched berry lippy to the convenient pockets (Kat is sporting a bandage on her right hand), everything just works.
THE MIXED: From the back, Malin Akerman looks great in this Cushnie Et Ochs black and white number, but front on we're just not convinced. Imagine how cool this dress would be with a more modest neckline... a hundred times better, right?
