Eva Longoria is to launch her own fragrance.

The 'Desperate Housewives' actress has created a new scent with Falic Fashion Group and was keen to make something wearable and not overpowering.

She said: "I have always been somewhat allergic to all perfumes...so I decided to create my own fragrance that is light, fresh and unique. I never knew how complicated it was to create a unique scent that hasn't already been done, but I enjoyed the process."

Eva by Eva Longoria will be available in the US next spring and worldwide later in the year.

Eva is not the only celebrity to be launching her debut fragrance.

Beyonce Knowles will release her first perfume Heat in February and says she couldn't be happier with her scent.
She said: "I'm so happy with it. I've been working on it for a while now. I was on tour for a year, and I have meet-and-greets with fans. I've never in my life gotten so many compliments.

"The fans loved it. They were like, 'I love that, I'm getting that, why isn't it out right now? I need it!' "
