Nicole Richie is the latest celebrity to turn from blonde to brunette.

The Simple Life star was spotted with husband Joel Madden at a basketball game between the Golden State Warriors and the Los Angeles Lakers with her new mahogany brown tresses.

On her website Richie said she loved experimenting with her hair colour.

"Since I’ve been either pregnant, or nursing for the past 2 years straight, I haven’t been able to really change my hair all that much."
