Model and designer Kate Moss sported a new dye-job at the launch of her collaboration with Longchamp in Paris.

The 36-year-old has designed her first handbag collection for the French, luxury leathergoods brand.

At first glance it might seem that the trendsetter has embraced going grey, but according to the Daily Mail those are light blue streaks in her hair.

The newspaper reported an insider saying, 'It is the new in-thing. Kate dyed her hair blue, but it came up silvery grey on camera. She loves it and thinks it's very fashionable.'

Could this be the next Moss-inspired trend?

Despite being in my mid twenties (must younger than Kate) I have been working the natural 'blue' highlights for a few years now. Kate M must have seen mine and thought they were cool...

Personally think it looks pretty cool.

Disaster: an occurrence that causes great distress or destruction. Loving your new hair colour: an emotion that, even for a celebrity, is not news worthy without an exaggerated, misleading headline. Do you use some sort of pick and mix system for stories and headlines?

I wonder if anyone will be stupid enough to copy a hair dye job gone bad?
