A roundup of the latest products to hit the make-up counters.

Bobbi Brown Creamy Eye Pencil. RRP$55.

Tester: Female, 33.

I tried "caviar" and found it so easy to use. It glides on effortlessly and has a built-in smudger at one end to create a smoky eye when desired. This eyeliner also comes with a complimentary sharpener.

Available at brand counters.

Smashbox Creme Liner Palette. RRP$55.

Tester: Female, 29.

This product is the future of eye makeup. The palette houses an assortment of buttery eyeliners in 10 colours. I was amazed at how easy it is to use and loved how the mini brush works as an eye pencil to create a defined line or as an eye- shadow brush for an all over colour. For stockists or to buy online see smashboxcosmetics.co.nz.

Body Shop Define and Sparkle Eyeliner and Mascara. RRP$38.

Tester: Female, 30.

I felt this product was a bit young for me as it is silver and glittery. The eyeliner became clumpy and streaky when applied and the brush applicator was difficult to use. The mascara gave my lashes a subtle sparkle which was quite pretty.

Smashbox Jet Set Waterproof Eyeliner. RRP$54.00

Tester: Female, 30.

Apparently navy is the new black. I was excited about trying this because I simply love wearing eyeliner and I thought navy would be great alternative to black this summer. This eyeliner is wonderful because it stays blendable for a minute before setting. I found the colour a bit dull though and would have preferred it to have had a sheen. For stockists or to buy online see smashboxcosmetics.co.nz.

Elizabeth Arden Colour Intrique Eyeliner Gel. RRP$40.

Tester: Female, 33.

I am a huge fan of eyeliner but have never tried it in a gel form. I was a bit sceptical as to how easy it would be to apply with a brush but was delighted with the result. It glided on perfectly and I had total control of how thick and detailed I wanted it. Now that I've tried a gel eyeliner, I'm never going back to pencil. Available at brand counters.

Bobbi Brown Rich Colour Gloss. RRP$48.

Tester: Female, 29.

I tried this lip-gloss in Melon 2 and I must say it is fantastic! It glides on easily, the colour is rich and it smells and tastes minty fresh. Available at brand counters.

Bobbi Brown Crayon Contour Lip Crayon. RRP$48.

Tester: Female, 29.

Ad Feedback

I never would have thought I'd use crayon on my lips but now I'm a fan. This lip crayon can be used as a lip pencil around the contours of the lips then as a lipstick to fill in the rest. It applies easily and stays on. Available at brand counters.
