Victoria Beckham should keep her "Audrey Hepburn style" hair, Jamie Stevens has claimed.
The celebrity hairdresser has hit out at people who criticise the singer-turned-fashion-designer, insisting she is always ahead of the fashion pack when it comes to her hairstyles. Jamie won 2008's British Men's Hairdresser of the Year, and is always impressed when he sees how Victoria has styled her tresses.
Victoria is famed for her altering appearance, and drew gasps when she cropped her hair to an inch-long in 2008. Although she has now grown out the style, Jamie insists it suits her better than the chin-length bob she now favours.
"Victoria Beckham - I think she gets a hard time," he told Cover Media. "I love it when she goes short. That Audrey Hepburn style she had in 2008 - I think she should stick to that. She's constantly evolving and she's happy to give it a shot. If she doesn't like it she moves on, she grows it out - that's what we hairdressers love."
Jamie warns not everyone has the right face shape to carry over ultra short styles, adding it suit those with great bone structure best.
Although Victoria has been criticised for dying her hair blonde and her devotion to extensions, Jamie revealed she is still the number one style icon in the London salon he works at. He cites the inverted bob she had before her crop as "revolutionary", adding people still ask for the style now.
He explained: "It's got to the point where we just try to put them off because things have moved on, but she sets trends."
