This week we test products aimed at making your skin feel and look wonderful.

Garnier Ultralift Pro-X Re-plumping and Anti-wrinkle Day Cream (SPF 15). RRP$24.
Tester: Female, 45.

Garnier products are among my favourites. They always feel great on my skin and make it look healthier. The Garnier Ultra Lift Pro-X goes on smoothly and is absorbed quickly leaving the skin soft to touch but not sticky. The product contains beech tree extract which the makers claim plumps up the skin. My skin definitely looked fresher after I had been using this product for a while. A small bonus is the SPF15 sun protection. Available from stores and selected pharmacies nationwide.

JuiceBeauty Green Apple Peel Sensitive. RRP$75.
Tester: Female, 43.

The word peel in the name of a product is usually enough to make me nervous - I have sensitive skin and the peels I've tried in the past have been too harsh. I was cautious, applying a thin layer to my face and neck. There was a bit of tingling, and a little redness when rinsed off, but it soon settled and my skin had improved texture. Paraben-free and with organic ingredients, this peel is now part of my weekly regime, replacing a grainy exfoliator. For stockists, phone 0508 375 394.

Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair. RRP$176.

Tester: Female, 46.

An anti-ageing serum to use on cleansed skin under a night cream, this promises to even skin tone, hydrate the skin and reduce visible signs of ageing. It is a light formula with a pleasant fragrance that reminds me of a beauty therapy treatment I once had. An anti- ageing-product sceptic, I am nevertheless impressed with this. I notice an immediate calming effect when I apply it and my skin looks better for using it. Available from brand counters.

The Body Shop Spa Wisdom Polynesia Monoi Miracle Oil. RRP$40.
Tester: Female, 45.

Part of the Body Shop's Polynesia Spa Wisdom range, the Monoi Miracle oil has a rich scent of gardenia blossoms and coconut. The scent is strong but is not overpowering. I need a small quantity in a bath and my skin felt hydrated and silky smooth afterwards. The oil is very light and I used it as bath oil, hair conditioner and an all- over moisturiser. It dried quickly and there was no trace of oil on my skin.
