Naomi Campbell undergoes an extreme detox three times a year in a bid to maintain her stunning figure.

The supermodel admits she has just maple syrup, cayenne pepper and lemon juice in a cocktail form for days on end and credits it with her being able to stay in shape.

Speaking on 'The Oprah Winfrey Show' earlier this week, Naomi said: "I try to do this three times a year. The most I've ever done it for is 18 days.

So I started on Sunday. This is the sixth day.

"It's good just to clean out your body once in a while."

The 39-year-old beauty also skips to stay in shape, saying: "The rope is great for your face, you lose a lot on your face when you do the rope."

If Naomi ever feels she is straying too far from her diet and exercise regime, she can rely on boyfriend Vladislav Doronin to help her, calling him her "fitness guru".

Naomi - who has been dating the Russian billionaire for around three years - added: "If there's bread on the table, he's like, 'Don't eat bread.' "

Despite being one of the world's most successful models, Naomi recently revealed she doesn't listen when people tell her she's beautiful.

She said: "The thing with modelling is that we're so used to travelling. The thought of just sitting still and having to digest and to think is scary, so you avoid it. It's terrifying to look in the mirror and face all your fears.

"I have people around me who tell me I'm beautiful. But that goes in one ear and comes out the other."
