With the final Harry Potter film in the can, Emma Watson has bid a ceremonial farewell to Hermione Granger by shedding her long locks.
The actress debuted a chic pixie haircut yesterday via her newly created Facebook page.
She published this photo (right) of her new do writing "Cut my hair off a few days ago... Feels incredible. I love it. I've wanted to do this for years and years; it's the most liberating thing ever."
Watson is the latest in a growing line of actresses opting for pixie or elfin styles. Cate Blanchett, Carey Mulligan, Elisha Cuthbert, Ginnifer Goodwin and Mia Wasikowska are just some of the stars sporting short hair at the moment.
