Man's literal bee-stung (well, wasp-stung) lips

The usual phrase is "bee-stung lips" but this Texas man proves a wasp sting or two will do the job just as well.

Jose Rivas is the latest regular person to rise to fleeting fame because something ridiculous has happened to him, and he posted a video of it.

Rivas was stung twice on his top lip (and once on his ear) by yellow jacket wasps. The swelling was pretty extreme, and we have to admit it does look a lot like fillers gone wrong.

"So I made this video last night after being stung in my top lip twice by yellow jackets and I guess my boy ... is dying over it and wanted my to post it out of my comments so he can share it," Rivas said in his post on Facebook.

"So here you go James."

James seems to have his finger on the pulse. Rivas' video has since been viewed more than 11 million times, and shared more than 100,000 times. He's not the only one thinking it's funny.

Of course, Rivas' commentary is what makes the video.

"Kim Kardashian and them be lookin' at you for lips for days," he says. "Can't handle all this."

Rivas, a former Marine, took the whole thing in his stride and told ABC Eyewitness News the worst thing was he'd been planning on eating spicy food for dinner. With the reaction on his lips he couldn't handle the heat.

The site also reports the swelling had gone down by the next morning.

No harm, no foul.
