She's a wild It girl and the fashion industy's hottest new model.

Pink-locked Charlotte Free has just been named the new face of Maybelline New York.

Free was discovered playing videos games in a Los Angeles arcade in 2010, and has sinced walked for Marchesa, Vivienne Westwood Red Label, Richard Chai and Jeremy Scott.

She has featured in fashion editorials for Vogue, Purle, and V magazines and her face dominates fashion blogs and street style sites worldwide.

Damien Bertrand of Maybelline New York called Free "the new generation of beauty".

"Her great energy and her unconventional style make her unique.

"Spontaneous, confident and daring, Charlotte is the perfect representative of the Maybelline New York woman,"  he said.

Free said she was excited by her new role.

"It's an honor to represent this truly iconic brand and a dream come true for me."

Previous Maybelline spokewomen have included Christy Turlington, Julia Stegner, Erin Wasson and Emily DiDonato.

It looks like Free may shake things up a bit.
