"I wear makeup when I am going out to functions - awards nights and shows - very rarely really! I don't wear it to work because I am allergic to a lot of products and I have learned that for me, beauty is not without pain.
I'm passionate about the products I like, but I don't give a damn about the rest.
"For me my morning beauty routine is the shower. I have to be quick, I have children, so I haven't got the luxury of spending forever. Whether I cleanse or do a scrub - that is my 10 minutes of quick-quick.
"I never do my own hair - I tie my hair back until I get to the salon. I have the luxury of not having to shampoo it myself, I can have it done at the salon whenever I like. I have it shampooed and blowdryed properly twice a week, or if I am exercising I will just get them to shampoo it and blast it.
"At the salon they use Pureology Hydrate shampoo and conditioner for me. To be honest, if you use Pureology shampoo and conditioner you don't need a treatment - it's heavy so it's good for coloured hair and quite dry hair. Before blowdrying, the stylists at the salon use ghd Straight and Tame in my hair - that says it all, I need that. If they use any finishing product it will be a little bit of serum or the Redken Argan Oil.
"I carry ghd Root Lift Spray around - it's the product I use on everyone else but not myself - I have a lot of volume in my hair.
"I wear my hair down, or up in a top knot at the salon because my hair is so thick that it it does get a bit overwhelming and hot if I am moving. I never wear my hair up when I go out because it is so heavy and it gives me a headache.
"I use quite natural, plain moisturiser - I can't have anything heavily scented (on my body is ok, but not on my neck and face). I love Jurlique.
"If I am going to put makeup on I only ever use Jane Iredale (Glowtime SPF25 BB Creme) or something like that. I have an YSL eyecolour palette that I have had for a while. I generally use my Juicy Tubes on my lips - I have been using them for a couple of years now, I just can't go past them, plus they remind me of when I was about 14.
"When you don't wear makeup, anything you put on makes you feel like a drag queen. Backstage at shows the makeup artists are always wanting to put makeup on me and it scares the bejesus out of me.
"At the moment I am using Marc Jacobs (I think it's Lola), but I do like all the Prada perfumes. I have all the different ones and I just put on what I feel. I travel a lot and I am always picking them up - that's my thing actually - I look around Sephora and the like, but I buy them duty free.
"I use Jurlique lavender lotion on my body, or Vision Coconut Oil (which does remind me of my Otahuhu Primary School days!) I use it on the kids as well. My mother died of melanoma so I always use sunblock (Neutrogena Baby Pure & Free SPF60+), and sunblock the children.
"On my hands I'm currently using Ecoya vanilla bean with macadamia. My hands are in water a lot so I have to use hand cream. I was buying candles so I grabbed the hand cream while I was at it. I don't actually go out to buy products, I get what I need, quick."
