It's been a gothic-chic Grammys so far, with Beyonce's dark and shadowy performance and Katy Perry's witch-themed spider-web dance (we were not digging her LED light bra), but the most shocking beauty moment of the night so far were Lorde's black fingertips.

Does this mean we'll be able to do our manis drunk from now on?

Kiwi girl Lorde, 17, sung her 'Record Of The Year' nominated song Royals in front of a gothic angel wearing Meadowlark rings, a simple sleeveless white shirt by Prada and wide-legged masculine black pants by Celine with her hair slightly straightened.

But the most noticeable element were her messily-sprayed black fingertips, which now have their own (to be fair very low profile) Twitter account. The strange look has been seen on Rick Owens' wife and muse Michelle Lamy for years - who uses Japanese henna to get the style.

What do you think, a beauty trend in the making?
