Surgery to look like Jennifer Lawrence
Are you a huge Jennifer Lawrence fan? Well we bet your love knows some bounds and that you'd probably draw the line at having major surgery to look like the 23-year-old star, which is exactly what one American woman has done.
Texan woman Kitty, 30, underwent six plastic surgery operations and spent NZ$29,000 in the hope of looking more like the Academy Award winner.
The mother-of-one says she's a fan of the star and was often compared to her and so decided to take that to the next level.
"I'm not trying to look like Pamela Anderson here during her 'Baywatch' days," Kitty told ABC news by way of justification. "I'm trying to look like a very capable, very personal level-headed female who is an Academy Award winner."
The dog trainer opted for a six-hour procedure that included breast augmentation, liposuction to her face and body, rhinoplasty as well was fat grafts to plump her cheeks and bum.
After six weeks of recovery - ouch - Kitty revealed her new look, saying, "Of course I look like Jennifer Lawrence. I thought I had a resemblance to Jennifer Lawrence before my surgery and now I think after, my features are more refined to where they resemble her more."
Thoughts? We're inclined to say that, while she looked beautiful before and after, she looks less like Lawrence in the post-surgery reveal than she did just hanging around her house pre-op.
Another woman featured in the ABC story is Rosie, a 43-year-old marketing exec from Las Vegas who flew to Texas to have a $9,200 fat-grafting surgery in the hope of looking more like tough-girl actress Michelle Rodriguez.
Her fat was harvested from her body to be used as a filler in her eyelids, nose, under-eyes, cheeks and chin - the whole procedure took two hours. The result? She actually ended up looking less like the actress (it turned out their similarities were their imperfections).
"I don't think I look like Michelle Rodriguez at all, I'm not disappointed by it. I kind of like this is Rosie, this is me, I don't have to look like her. So, not disappointed," she said.
