Claire Danes took the less-is-more approach on her recent red carpet appearance.

In a slinky little black dress and her hair effortlessly swept back, Claire Danes stunned on the red carpet recently. 

Aside from a touch of eyeliner and a dash of lip stain, this look is all about making skin glow without looking like a disco ball.

Start with some luminiser mixed into your liquid foundation. This is going to give your skin a beautiful light glow from the get-go.

Next, using a quad bronzer which offers different shades, swirl a large powder brush over all shades before applying to your face in circular motions. (Mixing four different shades helps get a natural mix of highlights and lowlights). Buff the colour into your skin to create a seamless finish.

Buff down to your neck area too, to help blend the bronzer into your natural skin tone.

Using a blush brush, apply a pop of colour to your cheeks to add further definition.

Opt for one that has some shimmer to add to the finished look.

This look is perfectly topped off with a slick of berry-toned lipstick, but the finish is more of a stain rather than a full lipstick.

To do this, apply some colour and mix it with some lip balm on the lips, then blot. This will give lips a flush of colour, without being overpowering.
