Angelina Jolie always looks impeccable and hardly ever steps out of line on the red carpet (well, apart from the leg that launched a thousand memes) but this week she's made the same mistake not once, but twice.
The waif-like 38-year-old is currently on a serious promo circuit for her new flick Maleficent - ooh, did you see the M.A.C. collection for the film - we likey - and has appeared with white powder all over her face and body at two of her appearances.
The first incident was in London, where the actress and humanitarian turned up wearing a gorgeous Atelier Versace dress that featured ravens all over it, but, unfortunately, she also seemed to be sporting talcum powder all over her legs.
Then, for the New York premiere of The Normal Heart, she appeared to again look like she'd just whipped up a few pizzas before popping on her slinky cocktail dress, sporting white powder across her chest, on her forehead and on her chin.
1. She's really into grappling sports right now and had just had a 'wrassle' pre both carpets.
2. Zahara's Play Doh obsession is getting out of hand.
3. She's been hanging out with Nigella Lawson. Baking, obviously.
4. Her makeup artist is being over-zealous with the Make Up For Ever High Definition Powder, M.A.C Prep + Prime Transparent Finishing powder or something similar.
This is probably the most likely option.
These popular prep + prime powders are a favourite of the celebrities as they make skin look luminous, dewy and fresh - like an all-over concealer. (And Angie obviously seeks dewy-looking legs. Don't you?)
BUT, and it's a big but, when under a strong flash (as tends to happen on the red carpet) they just make it look like you're suffering from serious chafing and so have had to roll your whole body in the Johnson & Johnson's before leaving the house.
Don't worry Ange, Ashley and Nicole have been there; as has Eva, ooh, and even Jon Hamm. This stuff must be magical for the complexion if the A-listers keep rolling the dice and just hoping they won't look ghostly while wearing it.
