I hate sunscreen. I mean, I love the idea of it - protects the skin, halts the wrinkles and all that - but it's horrible to wear. It's slimy, it stinks and it gives me pimples.

Everyone tells me the nicest way to wear sunscreen is to buy moisturiser with the stuff added, but finding a moisturiser with SPF that doesn't feel nasty is about as easy as finding a tinted moisturiser that doesn't make you look jaundiced - nearly impossible.

Then I found this one. I like Aveeno for its no-nonsense approach to skincare and its care for dry and sensitive skin types. Even so, I didn't have high hopes for the Smart Essentials Daily Moisturiser with SPF 30, but I was impressed.

This stuff is light, soaks in easily and smells utterly lovely. It turns out that you don't actually need oil and grease to make a sunscreen work - this product is completely oil-free and is non-comodogenic - which is dermatologist speak for won't clog pores.

My biggest problem with facial sunscreen is that your makeup never sits well on top of it, but this stuff behaved like any other moisturiser and wasn't a problem. As if it couldn't get any better, it also contains vitamins A,C and E for rejuvenating the skin. Now if only they made a version for your body.
