More pet stories and pictures

First, here's cover girl Ruby:

 

Sarah, who sent us the picture, says it was taken by her dad when Ruby was "a tween". Ruby's now four years old.

Here's an up close and personal shot of 6½-year-old German shepherd Inka:

 

Inka's master, Bret, says she loves to play 24x7, especially when there's a stick around. "If she was a netball player she would play Goal Defence because she isn't interested in fetching a stick so much as she is stopping other dogs trying to fetch theirs," says Bret.

Here are Tiger and Jasmine, the Belsham family's seven-month-old kittens from the SPCA.

 

You get the feeling they've got a good home!

Next, the fox terrier on the left is Pepper and the collie on the right is Rocco:

 

All smiles - but owner Melissa says it takes a bit of patience to get them sitting beside each other.

Back to cats, and this is Kay's big boy Dustin Hoffman:

 

Dustin's "very up himself - thinks he is the best", says Kay. Those Academy Awards can go to a cat's head...

Catching some rays is Jub Jub:

 

Jub Jub's mum Debbie says "Our attempts to get him to Push Play and lose some pounds have been met with bewilderment, followed by more sleep in the sun."

Another pair of canine friends:

These are Madeleine's two boys, Mika and Blackie (you can figure out who is who). "They like to play together chasing around the house and this morning when I woke up, I discovered the mat at the door is destroyed - again - by, who else, Blackie," says Madeleine.

Next: you might not remember Billy from an earlier blog post - but that time, he was showing his cute face. Billy has a habit of sleeping in the middle of the lounge floor:

 

His dad, Geoff, also managed to get a video of Billy's slumber.
