Accessories, darling

"You can never have too many accessories," I heard someone say, "just don't wear too many at once." Here's a collection of stylish pets wearing (usually) just the one accessory, but doing it with supreme style.

This Furry Friday's covergirl is Ruby, looking stunning in a buckled collar. And doesn't she know it?

Ruby

Brindle "multi-pedigree" Paddy's another with standout neckwear. Thanks for the photo, Angie.

Piglet has featured before on Furry Friday. Here she is with not only a sturdy-yet-feminine collar, but a graceful carving too.

Another Furry Friday veteran is Casper. Here he is, grown up and looking dashing in his tunic for the SPCA's Cupcake Day.

Meg cuts a bewitching figure in hat and matching broom.

Next up is reader Tracy's beautiful black and tan pal - but we don't have a name. Looking casual-but-terrific, though.

Levi's gleaming registration tag is scarcely more brilliant than his eyes.

Levi

Another blue beauty is Dillinja, also known as Spidercat (does whatever a Spidercat does).

It's amazing the number of pets who love to hang around wherever the shoes are. Maybe they'd love to wear them? Reader Jo sent this photo of 10-week-old Puss Cous in among the footwear.

Pugsley is treating someone's trainers as a kind of chaise longue.

And this soleful girl is fox terrier Stella, who's new to Furry Friday but a veteran of The Girls' Guide. Blogger Jane Yee sent us this picture of Stella having a lie-down on a lace-up.

This is Sniffy, modelling last year's Christmas fashion. Going from Sniffy's expression, I don't think that hat lasted there long...

Finally, Nike shows how to wear a hoodie with flair. Wassup?

Ohh I need to send you pictures of our show pony days when we used to dress our ponies up.. mexican ponies, punk ponies (with purple mohawks and fake tattoos).. not to mention the bling brow and nose bands, spiffy halters and matching leadropes, crazy saddle blankets.

Noone knows how to accessorise like a thirteen year old girl with a pony.

Caspar is gorgeous! I love the colouring and he looks so soft and fluffy. I also love Levi - what a cute face!

#2 i remeber those days! i never did a dress up day myself but i remember helping my brother turn his horse into an plane and himself as the pilot.

My dogs have dog jackets to keep them warm, Miss Molly's is purple but she doesn't like wearing it to much, Blaze however loves his polarfleece camo one and as soon as he see it in your hand sits down ready for it to get put on, he looks so cute in it

Tom   #8   10:40 am Aug 27 2010

All gorgeous, but I vote Stella, she looks plaintive and prettily sad.

I love the new whiskas advert where the cat is wearing a 'disco' collar- woudl love to get one for my cat who loves night hunting!

I remeber fancy drass at pony club... I cried and cried when my horse ate the garland of flowers we had made for him so he could look like a flower fairy
