What they say about cats

Cats have prompted some wise people to say some wise things. How could a philospher or poet not be fascinated by these creatures, and challenged to find words to penetrate their mystery?

So today, consider some of my personal favourite quotes about cats, illustrated by: Charlie, Trouble, Greebo, Brett & Jessica, Wallace, Dymka, Parris, Allie, Boris, Bean, Hugo & Louie, Chee Chee, Gypsy & Junior, Diesel, Benjamin, Mindy, Mini, Bunk, Odin, Van, Murphy, Phantom, Oscar and Molly.

Oh, quick pause for some housekeeping matters...

Wonderful and thanks for quoting Terry Prachet who also has DEATH responding to the question "is life worth it?", with " Cats, cats are nice!"

A wonderful treat this week. Something very different and unique to enjoy. Thank you Nick.

Some great quotes - most very true when applied to our cat friends - to accompany the beautiful subjects. Love 'em all.

It does not surprise me at all that Hemingway and Colette were cat fans...

That cat being used as a pillow under the quote from Robert Heinlein looks very annoyed, and seems to have its claws out ready for a quick swipe!

Another unanimous vote from Room 2. Sorry people, this week's winner is Orange Benjamin (the on looking soulfully over the shoulder). Why, you ask? Well he is the teacher's cat and has visited Room 2. "That's you, Miss!!!" He is Orange Benjamin, so we can tell him apart from his biggest fan, Benjamin one of the class. Photo taken at the Blessing of the Animals, he is NOT angelic. Just like Room 2, really. Thanks, Nick. You've made their week (and mine)

They are all beautiful! <3 I love Orange Benjamin the best

I had to look twice at the gorgeous boy in Pic 2 as he looks identical to my gorgeous boy. And I love the look on Orange Benjamins face. Part 'Puss'n'Boots', part "I am only tolerating this because you feed me!"

Awesome, two favourite things put together - quotes and cats! And even nicer was to scroll through and see our beloved Boris who passed away a few months ago. He's the one caught mid-lick and looking reflective after a successful mouse kill. Thanks for another fantastic furry Friday!

Lovethis, I've fixed the link, I think. Is it working now?
