Just teasing

Last updated 09:13 17/08/2009

I am not even going to pretend for a moment that I'm in any shape to do a report on my trip to Wellington any justice. We got in last night, picked up the dogs, unpacked, put on some washing, downloaded photos from camera, had scrambled eggs on toast for dinner, and then fell into bed. Now I'm at work and I have to, you know, work.

Basically, I'm just stopping in to say the great Wellington update is yet to come, but in the meantime here are some photos from my time in our fair capital. Oh, and by the way - I met some of you readers and it was ace, thanks for letting me come and get my boardgame nerd on with you.

Thanks Wellington. You rule.

Hey, while you're here, you might as well tell me what you got up to on the weekend. Highlights? Lowlights?

I am sad my cat has run away, so I went and bought a lot of furniture. New dining suite, coffee table, buffet hutch (sounds like something a rabbit lives in), entertainment cabinet AND a black leather lounge suite with recliners IN THE SOFA. I am amazed by this. I did not know such a thing existed. Sofa recliners. Awesome.

So now I have to wait the week and a half for delivery... and try not to think about our now much sadder bank balance. But I can have dinner parties now, and everyone will have a chair that matches!

Was great to meet you on Saturday Jane, looking forward to the full report when you get a chance.

Highlight for me this weekend was seeing Le Sud at Downstage on Friday. Really funny, if you get a chance to see it you definitely should.

Did the Petone five bridges 10km run in the rain yesterday, got a cold today, gutted. Also watched the new Fly My Pretties dvd, went to the show a few months ago, was cool to see it again on dvd.

As I've always said, Wellington IS the centre of the known universe.

Me, I took advantage of Saturday's 17c temperature and went surfing - all day...YUSS!

Wellington.

A quaint little village somewhere near Perth. I hear they even have a set of traffic lights now...?
