Christmas crackers cost a whopping $2.24 million
Most of us are used to finding a joke, a paper hat and a plastic toy inside our Christmas crackers. They're the kind which are really more about the bang than the bang for your buck.
But Christmas isn't called the silly season for nothing.
VeryFirstTo.com has joined forces with Parisian jeweller Tresor Paris to create a luxury set of crackers which cost more than a house.
Each sparkly set of six contains £1 million (NZ$2.24m) worth of diamonds cut into a variety of shapes and sizes including a three carat pear and a stunning marquise cut.
Time to make nice with your Christmas dinner hosts, people.
