Excited dogs from all over Auckland had plenty to wag their tails about yesterday as they took part in Purina Bark in the Park
More than 1000 dogs dragged their owners along for the day's activities at Abbots Way in Meadowbank.
The free event included a 'jog the dog' fun run, doggie makeovers, competitions, prizes and photos.
Purina brand manager Melissa Harland said Bark in the Park encourages owners to get active and have fun with their dogs. She said it's also a great way for dog owners to meet each other and share animal stories and tips.
Ms Harland says the fun event was also a great opportunity for those looking to welcome a dog into their home, as the Purina team was on hand to offer plenty of advice.
