This recently released video of a sloth and a cat who are apparently 'in love*' made us think of all the wonderful examples of interspecies love and friendship that pop up on the internet.

*If you ask us, it kind of looks like the cat is thinking of ways to break it off.

One of our favourite interspecies friendships is the one between Pan & James, a bulldog and a primate who appear together on a popular Japanese television show.


If you haven't seen Christian the lion, do yourself a favour. SO MANY TEARS (so long as you can block the movie 'Armageddon' out of your mind).

Last but not least, this video about the unlikely friendship between a crow and a kitten is particularly pleasing due to the re-enactments done by the elderly couple.
