Pet of the Day: Bambam - Gone but not forgotten
Bambam was simply the best dog you could ever ask to meet. He was loyal and had the sweetest nature.
He loved every person or dog he met. Bambam lived a long, happy life and made it to the ripe old age of 13-and-a-half.
He was a pure breed English Staffordshire bull terrier. I didn't know you could bond with a dog like that until he came into my life, he was the most amazing little buddy I could have ever wanted.
While other dogs barked, Bambam would whistle when he wanted to go out for his walk. Then he would get super-excited, running round and round in circles as you were struggled to get his lead on him.
Like most Staffies, Bambam loved his food and would eat absolutely anything and everything. He also loved to have cuddles and would lean into you on the couch and snuggle.
Although he loved people and attention he also liked his own space now and then, and would happily take himself off to another room for a quiet nap.
My one and only regret of my time with Bambam is that I didn't get enough photos of him when he was young, We didn't have quality camera phones back then, or a decent way to back them up. If I ever get another dog I will make sure I capture every precious moment I can with them.
Bambam was my best mate, a loyal and loving dog. There will never be another like him and I miss him every day.
RIP my beautiful boy, love you forever.
