A one-hour lunch with New Zealand fashion darling Dame Trelise Cooper has sold at auction for a cool $7000.

All up 12 New Zealand business leaders put themselves under the hammer, offering a one-on-one business lunch to the highest bidder.

Run by ChildFund, the auctions raised $22,650 which will go towards providing micro-loans and business mentoring to struggling Sri Lankan families. The Trade Me auctions, which closed on Friday, received nearly 40,000 views over the 12 days.

ChildFund chief executive Paul Brown said it was still trying to track down who all the auction winners were.

But one company from Lower Hutt had won six out of the 12 auctions.

He said it was understood the Lower Hutt company was looking to send a different staff member to each of the six lunches and report back to their business teams.

"It's quite a bold initiative on their part," Brown said.

Moa chief executive and 42 Below founder Geoff Ross attracted the second highest bid with his auction closing at $3500.

In third place was The Warehouse chief executive Mark Powell, raising $2050, followed closely by Sky TV founder Craig Heatley with $2025 and Air New Zealand boss Christopher Luxon being sold for $2000. Ross' auction offered a bit of a sweetener with the winner also spending an afternoon working alongside him at Moa, tasting the beer range complimented with a food-matching course and beer to take home.

Brown said he was extremely grateful for all the business leaders putting themselves up for auction.
