Actor Keisha Castle-Hughes' two-year-old daughter will make her catwalk debut at the Trelise Cooper Kids Show at Air New Zealand Fashion Week today.
At the pre-show fitting yesterday, Felicity-Amore was more interested in dressing her doll "Bubba" in the clothes than trying them on herself.
Castle-Hughes is a big fan of Cooper's kids' clothing, and Felicity-Amore will be the youngest in today's lineup of mostly four-year-old models. "I have waited this long for her to fit the clothes because they are so beautiful, and then it was just a fun idea to have her in the show," Castle-Hughes said.
It has been a busy Fashion Week for Castle-Hughes, 19, who so far has been seen in the front row at several shows and also volunteered on Habitat for Humanity, a women's charity building programme, at Auckland's Viaduct before Felicity-Amore's fashion fitting. "I have a huge appreciation now of builders. I only did half a day and my body is going to be aching."
As well, Castle-Hughes said she was fighting jetlag. She flew in from New York on Monday after promoting her latest film, The Vintner's Luck, at the Toronto Film Festival.
Cooper said the request to include Felicity-Amore in her show came from Castle-Hughes.
"I would not have asked because two is very little, but we thought mum could walk with her if she doesn't want to go on with the other little girls."
