Stolen Girlfriends Club proved why it is a label to watch last night at its New Zealand Fashion Week show.
Their collection titled 'Welcome to Nowhere' was held in the rooms above The Winchester Pub in Newton.
People queuing outside for the show braved torrential rain, before finally being allowed to wait inside the pub below the show venue.
The unexpected influx of people was a bonus for The Winchester's bar manager and resulted in a run on drinks which left his bar virtually dry.
The show itself was in rooms above the pub which were allegedly once the scene of sacrificial lamb slaughters and Masonic rites.
Models wove their way through a series of rooms past guests seated on wooden benches.
The collection itself was a cross between country bumpkin meets cowboy-chic.
Long johns and cable knits were paired with figure hugging jersey dresses and bodysuits in greys and pinks.
Outfits featured fringe epaulettes and were accessorised by knitted bags.
The collection was highly covetable, making Stolen Girlfriends Club one of the standout shows of Fashion Week so far.
ALL HAIL HAILWOOD
Pamela Anderson may have decided to give the Hailwood show a miss but those that did get in to see his show in Shed One were not disappointed.
Adrian Hailwood's Winter 2010 collection was elegant and edgy.
Jackets were beautifully tailored and dresses skimmed and accentuated curves.
