Huffer co-owner Dan Buckley loves Invers.
And he loves it even more after showing his Auckland-based fashion label's collection at a show at the Southland Masonic Lodge Centre, in Invercargill, on Saturday night.
"I'm moving down next month," Buckley joked.
The show, organised by his Invercargill friend Sharon Sutherland-Smith – owner of rawblond dzine hair salon – was held to raise money for animal rights group Paw Justice, supported by the SPCA.
More than 400 people packed the lodge to view the top fashion trends for this season at Invercargill retailers Farrys, Fredricks Menswear, Labels, Quest, Stash, rawblond and Huffer.
Buckley said the show was one of the best he had been involved in.
"At least as good, better, fun – it was cool, man. A really good, really fun event," he said.
"In previous shows I haven't felt 100 percent happy about how they were put together. This one was was really good, eh."
Huffer had designed a special collection, affectionately named I love Invers, for the show.
Buckley said he hoped to return to Invercargill to do more shows in future.
Sutherland-Smith said she had had fantastic feedback about the event, particularly about the hairstyles.
The other bonus was it had raised about $6000 through donations from just the sponsors. The final count from ticket sales would not be known until later this week, she said.
