Collette Dinnigan hates Ugg boots.

The Australian designer doesn't understand why the comfortable sheepskin footwear has remained so popular in recent years. She would never don a pair to go out, explaining they should only be worn in the comfort of the home.

"I'll ignore Ugg boots. They are indoor shoes, but people wear them on the street and they look hideous," she said.

Collette loves shopping, but doesn't often get the time to indulge her habit. She loves hitting the streets of Paris to treat herself, but opts for London when she needs to buy gifts for kids. She finds Cath Kidston particularly good for items for children, while New York is her favourite area for buying presents for adults.

"My signature is comfortable and relaxed with an injection of glamour," she said. "I'm always a very decisive shopper, because I never have any time. I get disappointed when I can't find what I want."
