Kate Middleton has been voted number one in Harper’s Bazaar’s best dressed list.
The stunning royal. properly known as Catherine, the Duchess of Cambridge, is known for her demure and sophisticated style, and regularly wows with her chic wardrobe choices.
Catherine’s spring wedding dress was designed by Sarah Burton of Alexander McQueen and was admired all over the world.
Her support of British designers and of the British high street has made her a style icon.
''Catherine's incredible style evolution has gripped us all,'' said the judging panel from the magazine.
Behind Kate in second place was Florence Welch. The flame haired songstress was described as ''magical'' and ''powerful'' by the magazine.
English actress Andrea Riseborough came in third place. The actress is known for her roles in films such as Never Let Me Go and Brighton Rock. She recently starred in Madonna’s latest movie W.E. as American socialite Wallis Simpson.
Other stars who also appeared in the top ten were supermodel Kate Moss, actresses Tilda Swinton and Keira Knightley, TV presenter Alexa Chung, designer Phoebe Philo and Colin Firth’s wife Livia Firth.
Catherine’s fashion status has not only caught the attention of Harper’s Bazaar.
Due to popular demand the Duchess is now in the running to win the British Style Award at the BFC's annual British Fashion Awards, later this month. The winner of which will be chosen by the public.
Anna Wintour has also reportedly been trying to secure Catherine for the front cover of Vogue. However, the 29-year-old has reportedly declined the offer.
