The Verge Breakthrough show has always been a launchpad for new Kiwi designers and this year's show at New Zealand Fashion Week was no exception.
Designers Michelle Yvette, Sable & Minx, Deuchar, Emma and Ana Steele had a chance to show delegates what they were made of.
Michelle Yvette was the proud recipient of a $10,000 dollar grant to help further her career.
She showed a collection of classically feminine pieces, and her standout pieces included a beautiful red wool wrap coat.
Sable & Minx showed a collection based on black and gold that designer Theresa Brady calls 'classic streetwear for the sophisticated woman'.
Deuchar designer Kelllie Chapman showed a fantastic range of separates with a hint of French tailoring - high-waisted skirts paired with mustard knits and jackets that were pleated and gathered to create a soft, flattering silhouette.
Wellington designer Emma showed a collection based on fairytales and pop-up books.
Muted greys and plenty of red featured in her collection.
Ana Steele's collection was based on images from dreams - and featured pockets in skirts and dresses.
