Bargain store The Warehouse and fashion runway icon Rachel Hunter don't appear the most natural fit.
But when Hunter approached The Warehouse with an idea for a line of clothes exclusively for the red sheds, the company was quick to take it up.
"I could see a real gap in the New Zealand fashion market for stylish, well cut women's clothing that's also affordable," Hunter said.
The Rachel line is the second brand within the Warehouse's Design for Everyone programme, which aims to make quality design available to all consumers.
The first was the Republic Revolution homeware range produced by Peter Reid and Graham Dickie.
The Rachel range includes 29 garments ranging in price from $29.99 to $119.99.
