Roll on the sport-inspired jackets, bombers are the shape of the season, but not as we know them.

Keeping it classic is no longer good enough as designers reinvent the vintage style for a modern approach.

Prada took the jacket and glammed it up with silk satin and jewel embellishments for spring 2012, and at Charlotte Ronson the look was space-chic and sporty in peek-a-boo clear PVC.

These new bombers are made to be dressed up.

Try Forever New's black version with a black on black trouser combo and gold jewellery, look to Max's lace bomber for a softly approach, or have some fun with mixed prints with wild versions by Cue and Storm.
