Lara Bingle is set to follow in the footsteps of fellow Australian model Elle Macpherson by starting up her own lingerie brand.
Bingle, 25, has confirmed she is in talks with a big retailer about producing her own line, with a view to launching it in 2013.
"My goal is to create a luxurious, affordable collection that empowers women and makes them feel sexy in their lingerie," she said.
Bingle will be working with George Moskos, the founder of Miranda Kerr's Kora Organics skincare range, to develop her label.
"Lara has always had a love for fashion, she has a huge fan base and is well recognised for her sense of style," Moskos said. "She is passionate about putting her name to something she truly believes in and has been very hands on."
The new venture comes just months after Bingle, who has reinvented herself as a reality TV star, was fined $3500, placed on a good behaviour bond and banned from driving for 12 months after pleading guilty to three driving offences.
Bingle also fell foul of the fashion police earlier this year. She was dropped by her sponsor ROC Eyewear three weeks after tweeting a photo of herself in a pair of shades by designer Karen Walker.
