Best & worst dressed: February 8
The Best - Jessica Chastain broke her bad red carpet run in a floral Erdem print for the Oscar Nominee's luncheon. It's delicate and lunch-appropriate, and she's proven that redheads can wear pink lipstick. Chasty's back.
The Good - We stared at this for a long time before making it a 'good'. On the one hand, it could do with being a little shorter and her eye make-up is a touch too heavy. But then, it's Valentino, she's Jennifer Lawrence and her hair's ferocious. We'll chalk that up to a win.
The Good - We are usually underwhelmed by Anne on the red carpet, but this Valentino Couture Fall 2012 gown looks lovely (plus, it has pockets, we love dresses with pockets). PS: Her pumps are Casadei and they're vegan, as Hath only wears animal-friendly shoes. Hugh's happy.
The Good - We're used to seeing her storm around in scrubs as Dr Bailey, but Chandra Wilson looked beautiful in this Tadashi Shoji gown at the NAACP Image awards. The jersey fabric drapes beautifully, and we'd love to see more of this ice blue colour on the red carpet soon. Gorge.
The good - Perfect colour, perfect fit, perfect styling: Patricia Clarkson, we salute you. She's fifty-freaking-three!
The worst - This is Vivienne Westwood meets Helena Bonham Carter: and Patricia Arquette is only 44. She's also skating on very thin jacket malfunction ice.
The bad - This certainly isn't the worst we've seen Lindsay Lohan, but the 26-year-old looks about 40 years older than she actually is, and her hair extensions have an old school Wynona Judd ring to them.
The bad - To be fair Kendra Wilkinson is hosting a pre-Super Bowl party called Leather & Lace, but a little more leather and a little less lace might have been a good idea. Plus, the Mickey Mouse ear breast pads are just plain weird.
The bad - Aussie cricket captain's wife Kyly Clark stepped out in this J'Aton Couture gown in Melbourne this week. And while her hair and make-up is a total hit, the dress' perplexing peplum ruins the look - it looks almost like a medical necessity (check out the photogs behind Michael eyeing it up).
The bad - Girls creator Lena Dunham just doesn't get it right on the red carpet. We like pink and red together and love the colours on her, but the fit of this Thakoon gown is just plain sloppy - and it was custom! We imagine Ben Affleck is whispering, "Please stop wearing satin" into her ear.
