The week's best & worst dressed: March 1
The Best - Kerry Washington masters a print mish-mash in this Giambattista Valli dress with Louboutin pumps. This would look bad on many people - that length is a very hard one to pull off - but the Django actress looks flawless.
The Good - Cap sleeves are almost impossible to pull off with long gowns, but Mrs. Matthew McConaughey, Camila Alves, is rocking this hot pink Escada number. Oh, and mamacita gave birth only two months ago: we give up.
The Good - Full disclosure, something about Amanda Seyfried rubs us up the wrong way (completely irrationally) and so her red carpet looks tend to, too. But this cute Christian Dior dress with its electric blue shock at the hem (and her perfect pink lip) is just plain gorgeous.
The Good - Louise Roe in Montblanc Princess Grace de Monaco is like if Where's Wally was a really lovely, leggy brunette. Full credit for making a skin-tight bandeau dress look classy rather than tacky.
The Good - Home-girl Anna Paquin channels classy vamp in this Monique Lhuillier party dress. PS: We think her hubbie Stephen Moyer may have been the original inspiration for blue steel.
The Good & Bad - To the left, we have the woman Kristen Stewart scorned, Liberty Ross, looking like she's halfway into a Hulk-like transformation (and still in the naked bit) in Anthony Vaccarello. And then, to the right, she's sleek personified in Tom Ford (because best dressed doesn't always translate to most dressed up).
The Worst - Andrea Riseborough and Jessica Chastain are fashion-forward ladies who usually look good, and they're both wearing new season Chanel couture, which is about as fancy as it gets. But that doesn't change the fact that these Karl monstrosities are unflattering.
The Bad - Florence Welch can normally work daring designs, but the bandeau shape of the top half of this Christopher Kane dress reminds us of an unflattering bikini we wore in the early Noughties, and crushed velvet and mesh are an unsettling texture combination.
The Bad - Laura Dern, 46, channels sheer secretary chic. Not a fan.
The We're-Just-Not-Sure - Here's Jennifer Lawrence, wearing (from left to right) Lanvin, Lanvin and Roland Mouret. And while we want to love them all, we just can't get on board. The look to the left is our fave, although we'd have preferred it with the hair in the middle, and from certain angles it was way too side-booby. Speaking of the middle, there's some, erm, action in the middle there. We don't even want to go into the look on the right: cue McKayla Maroney face.

They have swathes of stylists and the world's top designers at their beck and call, but that doesn't mean celebrities always get it right.
Every week we bring you the good, the bad and the just plain ugly in A-list fashion choices. We haven't touched any of the looks from the Oscars this week, as they're all here, and here, oh, and here.
