The Duchess of Cambridge is reportedly keen to put her own fashion line out.

The royal is known for being a lover of fashion and regularly tops best dressed lists around the world.

The pregnant 31-year-old made headlines when she trademarked her name recently, with the idea that she will use it to launch her own label in the future.

"Kate loves fashion, and although it freaked her out to begin with that she was labelled a fashion icon in every corner of the globe, it's finally feeling like something she's OK with," an insider told Look magazine. "Now she can see a way of turning it into something incredible and positive for charity. Kate saw how wearing a new designer, or even a classic designer, made sales shoot through the roof, and channelling that into a new fashion range for the foundation can only be a good thing."

Middleton has built a reputation for promoting affordable fashion items found on the high street. Sources have revealed that should the label become a reality in the future, they envisage on-trend pieces that keep with her own style motifs.

"Kate may be from a privileged background, but she keeps a close-eye on high street trends and loves a bargain!" the source said.

"I can see it being a very grown-up look, echoing all that we love about Kate - her elegance and grace. It could begin with accessories and shoes, then move onto T-shirts and tops. Then, if they succeed, there's talk about doing a whole line in the name of charity."
