Sofía Vergara, 40, says Vera Wang's designs fit her "like a glove".

The Modern Family actress attended the annual CFDA Fashion Awards in New York City earlier this week, where she wowed in a figure-hugging green gown by Hervé L. Leroux.

Sofía discussed which designers she is a fan of during the event and named Vera Wang, who scooped the CFDA Lifetime Achievement prize, as one of her personal favourites.

"She has made things for me that fit me like a glove," she told New York Post.

Sofía is fiercely loyal to labels which flatter her assets, even if that means less variety in her wardrobe.

Having an ample 32F cleavage narrows down the possibilities for what she can wear on the red carpet, which is why she sticks to her tried and tested skin-tight numbers.

"People [say], 'Oh you always wear the same type of dress on the red carpet.' Of course! I'm not 20 years old. I know exactly what looks good on me now. I could never wear this [pointing to a white jump suit that a friend was wearing] with no bra, because my boobs are up to here," she laughed.

The star matched her emerald-green dress to her jewellery on the night, donning $5 million worth of sparkling accessories from Lorraine Schwartz, including an eye-catching emerald necklace.

The cleavage-enhancing piece is not something she would normally choose.

"I usually wear earrings, to draw attention up!" she exclaimed.
