Best & worst dressed: June 7
THE GOOD: While neither this pink Herve Leger bandage dress (it's been a while since we've seen one of these on anyone other than a Kardashian) or this yellow lace Reem Acra dress shatter style boundaries, there's no denying Miranda Kerr looks pretty amazing, and all in one day! The only thing I'd do is change the shoes with the Reem Acra (maybe just a direct swap, black shoes for pink dress, peach shoes for yellow dress?).

THE BAD: Mollie King is usually the best-dressed of The Saturdays. But this illusion dress on 'roids by Louis Heal? No. I'm thinking that if your side-boob is so severe it requires not just nipple tape but a body stocking to keep the goods in place, you've gone too far.

THE BAD: I'm not going to lie, at first glance my Gwen-Stefani's-So-Gorgeous-And-Cool goggles had me thinking this was cool. But then I was like, no Nyree, the emperor is wearing no clothes, and this Balmain outfit is essentially a diaper-harem pant hybrid that the fashion industry has fooled some sorry souls into paying thousands for.

THE BAD: Now, where do we begin? Mary J Blige has the sass to pull off that hat, but the pants and shoes? No (she's obvs from the dress-two-sizes-too-small, Daniel Bedingfield school of style). And J-Lo's Gucci skirt suit? It's like Elvira the Star Trek edition. I don't think spider-web cleavage will ever take off. I also had to include the glory that was their stage costumes (J-Lo's face looks horrified, and as it should).

THE BAD: Carrie "Leia" Fisher is 56 and has bucket-loads of attitude and I love her for it. But that does not excuse this grabby polyester number and the "picked-them-up-at-the-garage-because-you-forgot-your-sunnies-on-a-weekend-away" sunglasses. The leather wedges are also a problem.

THE BAD: Natasha Bedingfield normally strikes a great balance between kooky and chic, but this genie-ninja look isn't working. I also think shoes should look comfortable to qualify as stylish, and the angle of her feet here is giving me an anxiety rash.

THE BAD: Rashida Jones is right up there in my fantasy celeb friend group (with Drew B and Maya Rudolph) but I'm not loving this Erdem ensemble. It's designer, yes, that's a pretty pattern, yes, but it still looks like pajamas. Like, good pajamas that you might wear when visitors are staying, but PJs all the same.
Best & worst dressed: June 7
THE BAD: Both Sheryl Crow and Carrie Underwood failed at the CMT Awards this Wednesday night. Sheryl because her gown is probably the most awk' length possible and her boobs look like an art deco decal, and Carrie? Well, this looks like the short-suit uniform the Icelandic rhythmic gymnastics team would wear (in the Seventies) and the clutch and shoes? I can see how normal people sometimes sport a mismatched clutch (considering most of us only have a few in our repertoire), but it's unacceptable in Celebudom.

THE BEST: This custom-made white silk crepe Ralph Russo gown looks like it was made for Angelina Jolie. Oh wait, it was! It's sculptural and statuesque and the best she's looked in ages (her face on the right is like, "That's right B-Listers, THIS is how you rock a peplum"). Brad could have at least found a T-shirt without holes in it to match up with his lady, although I am impressed by his floating sunnies sorcery.

THE GOOD: Emma Watson's styling is perfection here. On the runway this Chanel Fall 2013 gown was paired with weird ear muffs, light blue jeans and black boots - aka, it looked disgusting. But her perf' hair, delish red lips, just-edgy-enough earrings and amazing Giuseppe Zanotti heels turn this look into a winner. Karl should hire her, stat.

THE GOOD: Music & Lyrics actress Haley Bennett wins hair of the week in this could-be-drab-on-so-many Louis Vuitton number.

THE GOOD: Home & Away actress (and Hugo's niece) Samara Weaving wins eye makeup of the week here, and I love this unusual baroque-style dress. I feel like this is what Balmain would produce if they stopped drinking the high-fashion, we-don't-have-to-make-clothes-for-normal-people Kool Aid.

This week Jolie, Kerr and Watson triumphed, while the women of the music world dominated the style fails.

We haven't touched upon the CFDAs here (basically the Fashion Oscars) because we've got them covered, here.
